I was very fortunate to be able to attend Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley night two on June 22nd.
It was all so last minute — I got tickets for me and my husband two days before through an amazing lady on Facebook who let me use her Ticketmaster code.
I didn’t have time to organise a perfect outfit — in fact, I barely had time to arrange a hotel and travel. I only managed to make and take a few friendship bracelets with me to trade.
However, it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. Swifties are such a lovely group of people, and to be a part of a record-breaking tour for an artist in her prime was so special.
There were some mistakes I made though, and some things I’d do differently if I had my time again. That’s why I’m writing this blog post.
Taylor’s about to do eight more nights in Wembley before closing her European leg of the Eras tour (forever!). So, if you’ve already got a ticket or hope to get one last minute like I did, here’s a guide to Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley with all my best tips and tricks.
Pin this guide and save for later:

Travelling to Wembley Stadium
London’s Wembley Stadium is well-connected and you can easily get there via bus, train or tube. The two nearest tube stations are Wembley Park and Wembley Central — the latter is where hubby and I got the tube to and from and it was a 20-minute walk to the stadium.
Keep in mind that the duration of this walk will double when you’re heading back to the tube station after the concert due to the crowds.
For Wembley Central station, they also close off the main entrance so you have to walk around to the back entrance when events are on at the stadium. Our total walking time from the stadium to Wembley Central post-concert was around 40 minutes, which we didn’t think was too bad.
Surprisingly, the tubes there and back were busy but not absolutely heaving, but we took the overground towards London Euston for Watford Junction as opposed to going in and out of central London.
Wear Comfortable Shoes
Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley rule 101: wear comfy shoes, or make sure you have some in your bag for the journey to the stadium and back.
I was that girl who read tons of advice on social media about wearing comfy shoes for the concert but decided I’d be alright in my new cowboy boots. They were flat, after all.
That being said, I underestimated just how much I’d be on my feet (I barely sat down the whole day) and this, coupled with the heat that day, meant that my feet swelled up and rubbed terribly. On the way back to the hotel I actually had to take my boots off and walk down the streets of London in my socks because I was in that much pain.
When I studied my feet in detail the next day, I had like five huge blisters on each foot and it still hurt to walk. Don’t be like me — wear shoes that feel like slippers, or take some with you to change into!
Trust me, you won’t regret it.
Allow Plenty of Time
There’s so much to see around Wembley Stadium prior to the concert, as well as things to do.
As hubby and I had to travel to London from North Yorkshire, we were in the car from 7am to get to Wembley Stadium as fast as possible. We didn’t end up getting to Wembley until 2.30pm, and we still had to eat and go to the Merch Megastore before heading into the stadium for when doors were opening at 4.30pm.
You guessed it — we ran out of time. We saw everything I wanted to see that was Taylor-related but I also wish we could have spent longer on Wembley Way. There were so many Swifties gathering here to chat, trade bracelets and take photos.
But, this couldn’t be helped because of our initial long car journey from where we live in North Yorkshire. My advice would be to get down to the stadium as early as possible and soak up the atmosphere and all the fun things happening while you can. Time on concert day goes so quickly.
Where to Stay Around Wembley Stadium
If you have a ticket for Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley, it’s likely you’ll already have accommodation booked. For those who don’t, you still have plenty of options.
I thought that because hubby and I were booking last minute there wouldn’t be any availability around Wembley or prices would be sky high. Some were, but some were reasonable.
There were also tons of Airbnbs available. Even so, hubby and I decided to stay in Watford, which is a 30-minute overground journey to Wembley Central from Watford Junction.
Watford had the most affordable hotels with the cheapest parking, so it made sense for us when we were driving from Yorkshire. We stayed right next to the Watford Junction tube station and it cost us £12 to park overnight.
The only thing was, we arrived at the hotel at 11.30am and couldn’t check in until 2pm. We had to wait around for 90 minutes before the hotel agreed to let us check in slightly earlier. (I’ve never thrown my outfit on so fast to get to the stadium!)
What to See and Do Around Wembley Stadium for Eras Tour
If you’re a true Swiftie, you can’t just head inside when you get to the stadium. You need to check out the below first.
1. Swiftie Steps
The Swiftie Steps are Wembley Stadium’s Spanish steps towards the Yellow Zone entrance as if you’re coming from Wembley Park. They have earned their name because of the spray paint on the steps by artist Frank Styles, who was asked to create this mural specially for Taylor’s visit.
Derived from an original artwork ‘Auras,’ the mural is seriously impressive, featuring Taylor’s face and several related emblems, and creates an awesome photo opportunity.

2. Swiftie Steps Signs
There are road signs for the Swiftie Steps on the walls either side, which is another great photo opportunity not to be missed!
3. Get Ready For It Mural
Located around the back of Swiftie Steps is the Get Ready For It mural. This shows Taylor’s face surrounded by lyrics and was commissioned by MurWalls x HUMOR.
It’s super Instagrammable but try and get there at least a couple of hours before the stadium doors open. Otherwise, expect to queue for your photo.

4. Wembley Way
Wembley Way is the famous walkway up to the stadium that you’ve probably seen on the news/social media previously. It has merch and food stalls lined either side and lots of Swifties congregating pre-concert!
Here you can spend quite a bit of time trading friendship bracelets and hanging out with other Swifties. I’d recommend getting there at least a couple of hours before stadium doors open so you can leisurely have a wander and a natter without feeling pushed for time (like we were!).
Oh, and don’t forget to get your obligatory picture in front of the stadium.

5. Merch Megastore
The Taylor Swift Merch Megastore is located a good five-minute walk from Wembley Way on the left as if you’re looking at the stadium (follow the pink signs!).
It doesn’t feel like too far of a journey when you reach the front doors, until you realise you have to weave in and out of the barriers for another five minutes and then queue to get to the counters!
We went at about 3-3.30pm and there was a 15-minute queue inside. It’s so cool in there though — there are plenty of Taylor photo opportunities and they’re continuously playing album songs that Taylor doesn’t cover in the show.
Once you get to the front of the queue, the staff are super helpful and friendly, and you don’t feel rushed. You can ask for different sizes to compare and try on only if you’re not wearing makeup. (They don’t want to risk getting makeup on the merchandise!)
I just bought the blue crew neck for £60 as I’d already got a pink tee online ahead of time that I wore for the concert. They had plenty of styles and sizes though, including Paramore merch!

Where to Eat Around Wembley Stadium
Hubby and I were concerned about what the food prices were going to be like in Wembley Stadium, so decided to eat in the area before heading inside.
We didn’t anticipate how busy it was going to be everywhere though. Wembley Park is right next to the stadium with a bunch of restaurants, but most of the popular ones had long queues, like Wagamamas and Nandos etc.
We ended up going to Itsu, which is fast-food style with healthy, Asian-inspired dishes. It’s located just down the road from Swiftie Steps and our entrance zone so it made sense for us. We managed to get a seat straight away too!
If you’re on a budget, I would recommend eating in Wembley Park before the show, but maybe get there earlier than we did to avoid queues. For context, we got there ready to eat at 4pm and stadium doors opened at 4.30pm.
Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley Stadium: Things to Know
Now let’s talk about everything stadium-related so that you’re as prepared as possible for your Swiftie experience!
Entering
Your Ticketmaster or AXS app will tell you your entrance zone for Wembley Stadium. Struggling to locate it? There are lots of stewards around that you’ll be able to ask, so please don’t worry!
Hubby and I didn’t have any problems entering 30 mins after the doors opened and there wasn’t even a queue. (I imagine there would be closer to showtime though!)
You simply scan the QR code in your Ticketmaster or AXS app and go through the turnstiles. It’s an automated system but like I said, stewards are on hand to help if need be!
Then you will have your bag checked (you can only bring one the maximum size of an A4 sheet of paper) and be given a light-up wristband before heading to your seats.
Sunshine and Temperature
The June to September months in London are generally dry and warm enough to not need a jacket. However, it is England, after all – meaning the forecast likes to change and surprise you!
Be sure to check your weather app ahead of your show date. It’s likely you won’t even need to take a jacket, cardigan, sweatshirt, etc. Keep in mind that you can always throw on any merch you buy if you get a little chilly when the sun goes down. (That was my plan but I didn’t need to, even when leaving the stadium after the show.)
Speaking of the sun, there is a section of Wembley Stadium that is likely to be soaking up the rays until the sun sets around 9pm ish. It’s the middle of the back section if you’re directly facing the stage.
As far as I saw, everybody else in other sections is shaded and therefore doesn’t need to worry about piling on the sunscreen!
Timings
I’d say head inside the stadium as soon as the doors open, if you can. The time goes so fast and you’ll want to get situated and settled before the supporting act(s).
Doors opened for Wembley n2 at 4.30pm but we entered around 5pm. Then we only had 20 minutes before Griff came on stage so it felt a bit tight.
Paramore came on at 6pm for 45 minutes and then Taylor started at 7.15pm and finished around 10.30pm.
The half an hour between Paramore and Taylor flew and by the time you’d got another drink or had another toilet trip, it was showtime!
Timings will vary for your August dates though, so please check out the official Wembley Stadium website.
Food
Wembley Stadium does have food outlets but they tend to be on the pricier side. They also tend to be fast food options, i.e., burgers, hot dogs, pizza, etc.
If you’re fine with this, you can easily grab a bite before the supporting act(s) or in between.
Or, like I mentioned earlier, go to Wembley Park before entering the stadium with a bunch more options and cuisines. You’re also more likely to get more bang for your buck!
Oh, and if you have a sweet tooth, don’t panic — there are places in the stadium where you can get sweets, popcorn and even doughnuts.
Water/Drinks
The water situation in Wembley Stadium is… interesting, shall we say. You’re allowed to enter with one 500ml bottle of water but security will take the cap off you. To this day, I’m still not sure why.
This means that if you’re clumsy like me, you’re going to have to be extra careful with your water if you want to avoid spilling it everywhere!
You can refill your bottle using one of the free stations situated around the concourse. That being said, there is always a queue a mile long and it ends up being easier just buying another bottle if you need one.
Are you General Admission and standing? You’re not allowed to take water into the stadium with you — at all. But, the stewards situated around the floor will hand out cups of water to you as and when you need them.
Alcoholic drinks sold in Wembley Stadium are £8+ each. You can get beer, wine, spirits and mixers, and Pimms.
I had two glasses of Pimms for £10 each and thought it was overpriced for what I got. However, that’s stadiums for you!
Toilets
Okay, let me be real with you. There are always going to be queues for the ladies toilets in Wembley Stadium. If you’re using the men’s, you’ll be absolutely fine, which is why I saw lots of gals opting for the men’s bathroom.
The worst queues are between Paramore and Taylor, right before she’s due to come on (understandably).
I had every intention of using the loo during the concert too when one of my least favourite songs was on, but I never did. If you’re seated and in the middle of a row, it’s almost too much hassle to try and get past everyone and go up and down stairs.
I think when you’re excited and running off adrenaline you don’t necessarily think about needing the toilet, anyway.
Friendship Bracelet Trading
Like I said earlier, other Swifties were trading friendship bracelets at Wembley n2, especially on Wembley Way prior to the stadium doors opening.
I found that when we got inside the stadium, there were less people asking to trade. But that doesn’t mean you can’t ask people!
I traded a few with people sitting in the seats around me, and even gave some away to those who didn’t have many.
Please don’t be afraid of approaching other Swifties, as we’re a lovely community and are happy to trade when we can.

Solo Attendees
Bear in mind there will be a lot of solo Swifties attending the concert. There was a girl on her own sat to the left of me, so I had a chat with her in between songs and acts.
Make them feel comfortable and also offer to take photos for them — because we all want and need the obligatory in-front-of-the-stage shot, right?
Just Before the Concert
Around 10 minutes before Taylor comes on stage they will play the You Don’t Own Me song and put the countdown clock on the screens. This is ideally when you should already be in your seat or stood in your spot as the crowd starts to get really hyped knowing it’s about to be time!
After this song, they play Lady Gaga’s Applause, which is the final song before Taylor’s intro.
If you hear this and you’re not in your spot, run to get in your spot pronto! You don’t want to be stuck in the bathroom or getting a drink when Taylor starts coming out. The intro is one of the most exciting parts of the show!
During the Concert
One of my top tips for Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley is to sit down during the transitions between eras to preserve your feet and energy.
Let’s face it, you will be stood up more of the time, singing and dancing along to all the hits. But, if you don’t like a particular song, don’t feel bad about sitting during it. I saw lots of people around me doing this so you do what’s best for you.
Also, just a note on concert etiquette, people came to hear Taylor sing and watch her perform. By all means, sing your heart out, but try to avoid screaming the words.
For one, you may damage your voice. And for two, it’s not courteous to the people around you; some of whom may be neurodivergent with sensory issues.
Make the most of every second. Take tons of photos and videos. Laugh and cry. But also keep in mind you will never get this moment back again. Try to experience some of it in real life instead of through a phone screen.
And most importantly of all, enjoy yourself! You’ll be sad when it’s all over.
Leaving
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to avoid the crowds when you try to leave the stadium after the show. Even if you leave early, you will run into the crowds who are also leaving early.
That being said, I’d recommend trying to leave during Karma (the final song) if you don’t mind missing the fireworks. Or, make your way to the concourse during Karma so you can still see the performance.
Either way, it is difficult when 80,000 people are leaving a stadium at the same time, but know that you will get home. And you’ll be so buzzing about the show that you won’t even care it’s taking a little longer than you thought!
Restricted Seats
The two tickets I bought at the last minute for Wembley n2 were partially obstructed view tickets from Ticketmaster. We were in section 533 and row 32 (the second to last row!).
I was a bit apprehensive of the view we would have, especially having seen all the TikToks from standing VIPers who get so close to the lady herself!
I was pleasantly surprised. Yes, we were up in the nosebleeds and people on stage were like ants in size. Even so, we could see 80% of the show in real life and 90% on the side screen (this screen did glitch and go black 10% of the time!).
We were side-on to the stage and had a great view of the band, and even saw Taylor closer (not just on the runway and diamond) when she walked towards stage-right a few different times in the show.
Being so high up with a restricted view did not spoil the atmosphere at all. In fact, our section was amazing — singing and dancing for the entire three hours.
Hubby and I both had a blast!

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley Outfits
Just a quick note on your outfit for Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley. When you see all these social media posts of people who have already attended the concert with handmade or very expensive outfits, it can make you feel pressured to look your best.
I want to tell you that you don’t have to dress up and make a huge effort if you don’t want to. At n2 there were people dressed up, but there were also people dressed down in merchandise and other casual wear.
It’s all about what’s going to make sense for you, especially if you have to travel on the day of the concert and need to wear the comfiest clothing or you won’t have much time to get ready so you have to skip the makeup.
I wore my Eras Tour pink tee with light blue denim shorts and white cowboy boots, and I didn’t feel out of place. (I just wish I’d taken some comfier flats to change into, but you live and you learn!)

Just be sure to check the weather beforehand in case you need any layers or an umbrella. I’ll also drop some Eras-themed outfits here if you did want to dress up in your favourite era.
Either way, you’re going to have the most fun ever!
Final Thoughts on Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley
The Taylor Swift Eras Tour Wembley experience is once in a lifetime. You might not realise it at the time, but you’ll be dreaming about the concert for weeks and months after it’s over (and wishing you could do it all again!).
I hope my tips and tricks from n2 have helped you feel prepared. Please do reach out via Instagram or TikTok @trendytouristuk if you have any more questions and I’d be happy to answer them.
In summary, soak it all up, be kind to each other and just make the most incredible memories. I’m so excited for you!
